Where to stay in Rome?
You can also consider my hotel recommendations for each region, which I have researched in detail and read a lot of reviews.
Centro Storico
This is the historic center of Rome, a neighborhood that includes popular attractions such as the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain. I can say that this is the best neighborhood to stay in Rome for those who want to stay in history, in the most photogenic area of Rome and walk to most places in the city. Naturally, there are many restaurants and cafes. However, prices are high and it can be a bit noisy due to the crowds.

Trastevere is a bohemian neighborhood famous for its narrow streets, vibrant nightlife and authentic Roman restaurants. It’s an ideal area for those looking for a real Roman experience. It takes a while to get to the main sights on foot, you’ll need a car or public transport. But there are some hidden alternative places around Trastevere. I have stayed here before, it was very enjoyable.

Spagna is the most elegant neighborhood of Rome. Luxury shops, famous cafes and the Spanish Steps are located here. It is one of the most vibrant and fashionable areas of the city, full of art galleries and boutiques. It is close to touristic spots, very close to Villa Borghese, so it is also good for families with children. Those who want to stay in a central and luxurious neighborhood may prefer this place. Of course, prices are high due to these conditions.
