Dining in Rome
Italy must be one of the most ideal countries for dining with children. After all, all kids love pizza, pasta, and ice cream, right? However, make sure to check the opening and closing hours of the restaurants you plan to visit. I would like to recommend a few nice places.
For great pizza, I recommend Seu Pizza Illuminati and Pizzeria Ai Marmi. For delicious pasta, try Cantina e Cucina and Roscioli. By the way, the most famous kinds of pasta in Rome are ‘Cacio e Pepe’ and ‘Carbonara’, just for your info. Tonnorello, always bustling with a queue, offers not only pizza and pasta but also meatballs that are suitable for children’s tastes. For a tiramisu experience in Rome, Two Sizes and Pompi are the most famous and really very good. For ice cream, I suggest trying Gelateria dei Gracchi, Giolitti, and Gelateria del Teatro. Rome’s most famous street snack ‘Supplì’, fried risotto balls, is a snack that children will love. I recommend trying them at I Suppli in Trastevere.
Transportation in Rome with Children
Public transportation is free in Rome for a child under 10 years of age traveling with an adult. Although the entire public transport network is not stroller-friendly, most tourist destinations are easily accessible.
