Atlantis Aquaventure Dubai Guide

I would like to start by answering some commonly asked questions by families about Atlantis Aquaventure Dubai, providing short answers.

What is the best age for Atlantis Aquaventure Dubai?

There is no particular age limit an I think It’s suitable for children and adults of all ages. There are 105 playgrounds spread over a very large area. There are very soft playgounds as well as extremely adrenaline-pumping slides. It’s fun for small children, teenagers, and adults alike. Not only my 8 year old son, but I definitely had a great time too.

When is the best time to visit Atlantis Aquaventure Dubai?

The time we visited, mid-October, was ideal for the water parks. We didn’t feel cold at all and, since we were constantly in the water, we didn’t get too hot. I think it would be enjoyable at any time, but you might feel a bit cold getting out of the water during the winter months.

How long do you need for Atlantis Aquaventure Dubai?

We went as soon as it opened and stayed until it got dark, and there were still slides we didn’t try. I think you need at least two days to try everything, but we only managed to go for one day. I read some places online saying 3-4 hours is enough and I couldn’t believe it – it’s not possible, you should definitely plan at least a full day for it if you’re going to go.

How to buy Atlantis Aquaventure Dubai tickets?

Opening hours and prices: It opens at 10 am and stays open until 6 pm. The ticket price is 315 AED for ages 8 and above, 265 AED for ages 3-7, and free for children under 3. They said there is no price difference between buying tickets online or at the gate. But, of course, if you don’t want to waste extra time buying tickets at the gate, it makes more sense to buy them online. That’s what I personally did. You can buy your tickets from this address. You can either buy a ticket just for Aquaventure for the whole day or a Super Day Pass, which allows you to visit The Lost Chambers Aquarium inside the Atlantis hotel on the same day. In theory, this is possible because the aquarium closes at 9 pm and you have time left. If you think you’ll have the energy, this option makes sense.

How to get to Atlantis Aquaventure Dubai?

Aquaventure is located at the far end of the Palm Island. Our hotel was in the JBR area. In the morning, we took a taxi from the hotel and paid a fixed rate of AED 50. We were so tired on the way back that we thought we would take a taxi again, but there was an unbelievable taxi queue. Fortunately, there is a Monorail right next to the hotel and it takes you to where the palm island connects to the mainland. You can use NOL card or other payment options, it costs 20 aed. There was a tram from the entrance of the palm island to JBR, we took it and it costs 3 aed. By the way, speaking of transportation, the inside of Aquaventure is also quite big and it can be really tiring to get from one place to another. For this reason, buggies are roaming inside. When you get tired, you can wait at these stops and use the buggies.

At the entrance, they give you an aquaband, similar to a watch, which you link to your phone by downloading an app. This way, you don’t need to carry a wallet inside. Of course, you also have the option to carry a wallet and make normal payments. The aquaband is also used for entering the slides and opening lockers.

Using selfie sticks on the slides is prohibited. If you have a 360 or GoPro attached to a stick, you need to remove the stick. Waterproof cases with straps for phones are sold inside.

I recommend wearing water shoes or something similar like slipstops. I had read that free aquasocks are distributed inside, but we had brought our own, you might want to ask if you need one. The grounds can be hot, and it’s hard to walk barefoot. You can’t wear flip-flops on the slides; you either have to carry them in your hand or leave them at designated areas.

You can also use the beach inside the park, the sea was beautiful and it was not crowded at all, just keep in mind.

You can rent lockers for your valuables. There are sun beds around some pools where I left towels and other items for easy access.

We went on Wednesday, there was always a line at the popular slides from the morning opening time. I can say that there were more teenagers and adults in line than children. Only near the closing time the lines got shorter.

It is a very safe place, there are lifeguards everywhere.

My personal favorites were Zoomerango at Poseidon Tower, Odyssey of Terror at Trident Tower and Leap of Faith at Neptune Tower.

Atlantis Aquaventure Dubai Accommodation

Aquaventure is located within the Atlantis hotel on the palm island. Entrance is free for guests staying at this hotel. Of course, they also have an advantage in terms of entrance and exit times. Since I have already covered the accommodation in Dubai in detail in my Dubai with Kids article, I will not go into detail here, but if you want to check the prices of Atlantis the Palm Hotel, you can look here. It is really a great hotel and if we go to Dubai again, I would like to stay there for a few days.

Dining at Atlantis Aquaventure Dubai with Kids

Can You Bring Food & Drinks Into Atlantis Waterpark? You cannot bring food or drinks inside; they check bags. I had read in a few blogs that they allow one liter of water per person, so I put half a liter of small water in the bag just in case. They checked my bag and didn’t say anything about the water, indeed. There are plenty of dining areas where you can find something to suit everyone’s taste. To give an example of the food and drink prices based on what we ate, an ice cream was 45 AED, and a hot dog menu was 70 AED.

I tried to explain all the details so that there would be no question marks in mind. I hope my Aquaventure Dubai with Kids Guide helps you to plan a nice trip. If there is anything else you want to add or ask, please write in the comments so that everyone can benefit.
